Do I need a visa to go to Goa, India?
Foreign Nationals visiting Goa, India must possess a valid passport and a valid visa, unless they come from visa-exempt countries or nationals who may obtain a visa on arrival or an e-visa online.
Visa-free entry:
Nationals of Nepal and Bhutan do not require a visa or passport to enter India (provided they are not arriving from China, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Macau). These nationals can stay in India without any limits, and even they can work freely in India.
Nationals of Maldives do not require a visa for up to 90 days stay.
Overseas Citizens of India/persons of Indian origin
Nationals with an Overseas Citizen of India registration certificate or a Person having an Indian Origin Card do not require a visa. Please note that nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Nepal, or Pakistan do not hold Overseas Indian Citizenship.
Visa on arrival:
Nationals of Japan, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates can apply for a visa on arrival (VOA) at Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai airports. The visa is valid for up to 60 days and is granted for specific categories like business, tourism, medical and conferences.
Please note that a national cannot apply for a visa on arrival if he/she or either of his/her parents or grandparents were born in or permanent resident of Pakistan.
E-visa
National for selected countries can apply for e-visa, including those who are eligible for visas on arrival. The e-visa types are e-tourist visa, e-business visa and e-medical visa. An application for e-visa must be made four calendar days in advance of the date of arrival.

Employment visa
Period: 1 year or period of contract
Entry type: Multiple entries
Requirements: Proof of employment
Foreigners of Indian origin
Period: 5 years
Entry type: Multiple entries
Requirements: Proof of being of Indian Origin
Film
Period: Duration of the shooting of the film or one year, whichever is less.
Entry type: Single/Multiple/Double entry
Requirements: Copy of detailed shooting script (film or TV show/serial) and other shooting schedules, equipment etc.
